Evelyn Evelyn  - Amanda Palmer - Jason Webley - Bitter Ruin - 27/april/2010

* Bitter Ruin
The opener is the duet Bitter Ruin. Georgia and Ben come from England. They both sing and Ben plays acoustic guitar. Their songs are intense and dramatic. Georgia has a powerful voice. My favorite song is the last one, "A brand new me", with beautiful melody and brilliant singing by Georgia.
 * Evelyn Evelyn
The twins are actually named Lyn and Eva (Neville). They were born in 1985 in a small farm in Kansas. They are Siamese. Orphans of birth, they appear in 1996 in a circus. In 2004, they start a solo career. In 2007, Amanda Palmer and Jason Webley decide to produce their first album. And here they are on tour in Europe.For their first appearance in France, the sisters Evelyn Evelyn arrive on stage in a huge ovation. Very shy, they take time to find their marks on stage, causing, in spite of them, the laughter of the audience. Sharing the same body is not obvious, moreover when it comes to playing the same piano, accordion or guitar. They attack by a magnificent version of the song "Evelyn Evelyn" in which their voices overlap and complement each other superbly. The sisters have many musical influences. They thus pass easily from one Broadway musical typed tune to a 80s typed song, not forgetting country songs. A puppet show (with shadows) tells us their tragic history. Both poignant and very funny, their performance is a magical moment.

* Jason Webley
Jason Webley sets fire. What a voice, how powerful. love this guy. Jason has an unbelievable presence. His tracks are superb. Jason divinely plays accordion and guitar. He is joined by Amanda Palmer for a thunderous version of the song "Icarus". Huge ovation.
* Amanda Palmer
Huge ovation. Amanda Palmer unveils her bra and corset and sings a hallucinatory version of "Runs in the Family". She then asks the public if we do want a new song. A majority agrees. Amanda then plays "The bed song". It is a very beautiful piece, with a superb melody and divinely interpreted. Followed by "Mrs. O" and "Coin Operated Boy", both beautiful. What a voice, what a presence. Bravo Amanda.

Amanda Palmer, Jason Webley, Georgia and Ben returns to the stage to sing a song by Jason Webley called "Drinking Song". Amanda invites the public to join the stage. A dozen people joins. As for the rest of the public, we turn on ourselves 12 times at the request of Jason, then link arms with our neighbours and we all sing this drinking song with all the lungs and throats.
Huge ovation. A very nice evening.
